Product Description
Ferro Phosphorus alloy is a ferroalloy, which is an alloy of iron and phosphorus. It contains a high proportion of ferric phosphide, Fe2P, and Fe3P. Ferrophosphorus is used in metallurgy as a phosphorus source for alloys, for the deoxidation of melts and the removal of unwanted compounds from slag. Ferro Phosphorus is a by-product of the carbon reduction of apatite in submerged arc furnaces to produce phosphorus. Ferrophosphate is formed from iron oxide impurities.
Inoculant in the casting industry: In casting production, Ferro phosphorus can be used as an inoculant. It can change the morphology and distribution of graphite in cast iron, refine graphite balls, and improve the mechanical properties of cast iron, such as strength, hardness, and wear resistance. In addition, Ferro phosphorus can also reduce the surface tension of molten iron, improve the fluidity of molten iron, facilitate the molding of castings, and reduce the occurrence of casting defects.
