Calcium Metal can be used as a deoxidizer and desulfurizer in the metallurgical industry, and is used in the smelting of steel, aluminum alloys and rare earth metals to improve material properties. Calcium Metal participates in the preparation of calcium compounds (such as calcium carbide and calcium hydride) in chemical synthesis, which is used in acetylene production and pharmaceutical intermediate synthesis. Calcium Metal can be used in the electronics industry for the deoxidation of vacuum tubes and semiconductor materials.
