Product Description

In order to obtain castings with the required mechanical properties during the casting process, it is often necessary to accurately control the carbon content of the molten iron or steel. Calcined coke has a high carbon content (fixed carbon can generally reach more than 90%) and is a high-quality recarburizer. It can effectively increase the carbon content of the molten metal and improve the strength, hardness, wear resistance and toughness of the casting. For example, when producing ductile iron, the appropriate carbon content helps to spheroidize the graphite and improve the quality of the casting.
