Product Description
Calcined petroleum coke is a product of crude oil distillation and thermal cracking, which is calcined at high temperature. It has the characteristics of low volatility (generally as low as below 0.5%), high purity (carbon content can usually reach more than 98%), high density (true density is generally around 2.0-2.1g/cm³), good conductivity (low resistivity), high thermal stability (can withstand high temperatures without deformation or decomposition), low ash content (generally below 0.5%) and good wear resistance.
In some cases, Calcined Petroleum Coke can be used as raw material or additive in the production of carbon black, affecting the performance and quality of carbon black, which is used in rubber, ink, coatings and other industries.
In the field of new energy such as fuel cells, can be used as a raw material for electrode materials, and after special treatment and processing, it can be used to prepare electrodes with good electrical conductivity and catalytic properties to support the development of fuel cells.
