Product Description
High Carbon Silicon Alloy is a cost-effective metallurgical material composed mainly of silicon and carbon. It typically contains Si: 65-70% and C: 15-20%, with low levels of impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus. It has a gray-black granular or blocky appearance, with a uniform composition, good thermal stability, and strong deoxidizing ability. Compared to traditional ferrosilicon and carburant, high carbon silicon offers better cost performance, faster reaction speed, and higher efficiency in steelmaking and foundry applications.
High Carbon Silicon Alloy is widely used in steelmaking, foundry, and metallurgical industries. In steel production, it serves as an effective deoxidizer and carburizing agent, helping to reduce oxygen content in molten steel and improving steel quality. In cast iron production, it enhances the graphitization process, refines grain size, and improves casting surface finish. Additionally, it is an economical alternative to ferrosilicon, carbon additive, and silicon carbide, helping to lower production costs while maintaining metallurgical performance.
