Ferrosilicon's unique magnetic properties (high permeability, low iron loss) and stability (temperature/vibration sensitivity) make it the core material of power transformer cores and silicon steel. In steelmaking, carbon graphitization is used to reduce magnetic aging and improve the purity of steel; When added as a fuel, it can also reduce smelting energy consumption, realize the dual value of deoxidation and energy saving, and is widely used in the fields of steel, casting and special alloy manufacturing.
| Uses |
Iron and steel production: Ferro silicon is a critical additive in the iron and steel smelting process. In the ironmaking stage, ferrosilicon can effectively improve the flow properties of the melt, which is of great benefit to the smooth removal of slag and can significantly reduce the degree of contamination of slag to molten steel.
