High Carbon Silicon Alloy is a new type of silicon-carbon alloy, the main components are silicon and carbon, the silicon content is more than 55%, and the carbon content is more than 15%. It is a by-product of the production of silicon metal, which can replace traditional oxygen absorbers, such as ferrosilicon powder, calcium carbide, etc. The physical and chemical properties of High Carbon Silicon are stable, the deoxidation and desulfurization effects are good, and it can also increase carbon and reduce the cost of steelmaking. Its high calorific value (6.58kcal/g) can improve the quality of molten steel, enhance product performance and increase economic benefits.
 

Uses

Steel smelting: High Carbon Silicon Alloy is mainly used as a deoxidizer in steel production, which can effectively remove oxygen impurities in molten steel and improve the quality of steel.
Foundry industry: As an alloying element in the casting process, high carbon silicon alloy can improve the strength, hardness and wear resistance of cast iron, and is suitable for the manufacture of high-strength cast iron products.
Alloy steel production: As an alloying element, adding high carbon silicon alloy can increase the hardness and strength of steel, and is suitable for the production of some high-strength alloy steels.
