Product Description
High Carbon Silicon Alloy is a new alloy for converter with silicon (≥55%) and carbon (≥15%) as the main components, which can replace traditional deoxidizers such as ferrosilicon powder and calcium carbide. Its physical and chemical properties are stable, and it can quickly react with oxygen in molten steel to form scum, efficiently complete deoxidation, and at the same time have the functions of desulfurization and carburization, and reduce the amount of recarburizer. As a by-product of silicon metal production, its calorific value reaches 6.58kcal/g, which also acts as a heating agent, which can reduce the energy consumption and alloy cost of steelmaking, significantly improve the purity and economy of molten steel, and help the green and low-cost manufacturing of high-quality steel such as stainless steel and special steel.
Steel smelting: High Carbon Silicon Alloy is mainly used as a deoxidizer in steel production, which can effectively remove oxygen impurities in molten steel and improve the quality of steel.
Alloy steel production: As an alloying element, adding high carbon silicon alloy can increase the hardness and strength of steel, and is suitable for the production of some high-strength alloy steels.
Foundry industry: High carbon silicon alloy is used as an alloying element in the casting process to improve the strength, hardness and wear resistance of cast iron, and is suitable for the manufacture of high-strength cast iron products.
