Characteristics

Calcium Silicon Cored wire is a kind of composite alloy material used in the metallurgical industry for refining molten steel. Its core is filled with silicon-calcium alloy (mainly composed of silicon, calcium and a small amount of aluminum and other elements) powder, and is externally wrapped with a sealing wire made of low-carbon steel strip or pure iron strip.

Uses

Calcium Silicon Cored wire special structural design enables it to precisely and efficiently inject active elements (such as calcium) into the molten steel, and it is widely applied in the deoxidation, desulfurization, control of inclusions and calcium treatment processes during the steelmaking process. It is an important carrier of modern furnace-out refining technology. It is conducive to adjusting and controlling the contents of active metals and trace elements; maintaining stable alloy performance functions, reducing the steelmaking composition; changing the morphology of inclusions to improve mechanical properties; facilitating operation and reducing operation costs.
